From Proposals for new Wikia sites
Thank you for your wiki request. Universities, colleges, schools, and individual classes and class projects are welcome to form an open sub-wiki within the existing Students Wikia site. This will give you the benefit of having other wiki editors on the same site who can help you maintain your wiki and prevent it from being vandalized, and avoids the likelihood of having an inactive wiki if there are not enough people wanting to edit this topic. Educators and administrators may create articles about lesson plans, teaching techniques and other topics of interest at the Education wiki.

| Wiki description: | Well, my school, Boston Latin School, has quite a few clubs, activities, etc. And since there's so much stuff in our school, I strongly believe that our 2400+ students should have their own wiki, to write their own information about the school. It would also help forgetful people like me remember when things are.

| Community information: | Yes, in fact, there is a big community for this wiki. We have over 2400 students in our school; at least some of them would love the idea and actively participate. For example, my associate Eli joined our Facebook Group-Fight for the BLSWiki!-before I even sent out the first invites. So, this will likely have quite a large active community, and a much larger passive community. | |

| Extra information: | We have a Facebook group, created approximately 20 minutes before this application was sent in. It is now 10:15 PM, 5/16/2008, and even though it isn't a peak hour, some members have already joined the group. This is likely to be a very useful and popular wiki among the BLS community. | |
