What will this wiki be about? What sort of articles will be included?

Like the 3 others wikia about Guild Wars, but in french. It will pretty much cover everything that gravitate around that game and it's community of gamers.

Community

Who will edit this wiki? Is there already a community around this topic? How will you promote the wiki to ensure at least 20 people join? Give links to forums on this topic if you know of any.

Firstly, i will try to get every members of the old and failling french GuildWiki at http://www.guildwiki.fr/ and most of the content too. But we dont know when his hosting contract will comme to and end. I think i will also put a link on the french Wikipedia Guild Wars page. And after the wikia reach a fair amount of content, i will contact ArenaNet (makers of the game) so they put it in the fansite list (if they find it worthy).

At first i think my projet would try to replicate gw.gamewikis.org but in french. Yes, i mean, translate it. But, since most of the work is already done in the old french guildwiki, it would be wise to use it too.

Support Guild Wars community definitively needs a french langgage wiki. Some informations are truely hard to get for low english speaking people. http://www.guildwiki.fr/ is failling but only because of technical problems. I would be an active contributor for a safe wikia page. Recently decided to contribute on the actual site hoping this will be copied on a safe page. --Ttibot 00:56, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Per the license problems, The content can not be indiscriminently copied over from the previous project. Volunteers should find the articles by the authors listed who agreed to re-license into GFDL and then should use Special:Export (with full histories) to save the XML files, and then use w:c:fr.guildwars:Special:Import to import them (TulipVorlax can sysop anyone he feels needs to have access to Special:Import).
